Switch Refurbishment

Power Grid Supply offers a comprehensive refurbishment program for various types of switches, ranging from 13kV hook stick to 500kV gang operated switches. PGS supports major brands such as Southern States, Joslyn, PASCOR, USCO, Johnson, S&C, ITE, HK Porter, Delta Star, Schwager Wood, and Allis Chalmers. Services include the complete refurbishment of switches, covering all live parts, bearings, operators, and interphase linkage, as well as supplying parts for hinge and jaw contacts and operating mechanism components.

In their Switch Replacement Parts service, every switch refurbished by PGS is dismantled completely, and each component is examined for integrity and replaced if needed. When a part is replaced, a Solidworks drawing is generated and filed for future reference. This process also provides an opportunity for NextEra to identify parts that can be replaced in the field at some point in the future and have these parts available in inventory.
